Manually create shipping rates

What is your shipping strategy? Will you choose to ship a flat rate across the country or divide shipping rates by different zones? Do you want to charge customers shipping by the weight of the package or by the total order price?

Manual shipping rates allow you to enter the rate your customer is charged at checkout. This differs from connecting to a carrier account like UPS or FedEx because the shipping rates shown to the customer are not in real-time.

Manual shipping rates can be used to incentive customers to purchase more in order to receive lower or free shipping rates. Manual shipping rates are recommended to ensure the lowest number of abandoned carts due to high shipping rates.
